Founded by Donna Piken in 1996, Donna’s Kids has enriched thousands of children over the years with exciting, innovative educational arts programs.  With original and carefully designed curriculums, a dynamic and supportive learning environment, talented teachers, and a unique educational arts approach, Donna’s Kids’ programs bring out creativity and spark the imagination of every child while having fun and instilling confidence, skills and positive thinking for a truly meaningful experience. MULTI-ARTS BASED ACTIVITIES…
Through active participation in our multi-arts based and age appropriate activities, children discover, explore and experience the joys of the arts – visual arts, fine arts, theatre arts, music, creative movement, yoga, cooking, poetry and storytelling.  These disciplines benefit social development and responsiveness and foster self-growth, self-esteem, self expression and creativity.  

KID-TESTED CURRICULUMS…
Donna’s Kids curriculums have been carefully designed and kid-tested. Curriculums are constantly updated and kept flexible to incorporate Donna’s “individual needs” philosophy which refines curriculums to meet the varied needs and dynamics of each child and class.

ABOUT DONNA...
Donna has been teaching and creating educational programs for over twenty years and was one of the first to design and popularize the Mommy and Me type program in NYC in the late 80's.  She originated Baby & Me™, StoryTale Theatre™, Kid-Delicious Cooking™, Young Artists On Stage™ and Color My World™, along with dozens of other imaginative arts based programs. Her popular ToddlerTime Kids™ program, has been a model for other comprehensive educational preschool programs.

Donna has appeared on the Daily Connection TV show and has been featured in Suburban News Magazine and Women in Business in the West Essex Tribune.  Donna actively consults with children's centers, schools and teachers regarding marketing, expansion, promotion, curriculum design and promoting creativity. In addition, she assists artists, teachers and parents with business start-ups in the arts.  She also offers private sessions with parents and children concerning a wide range of areas that include developmental issues, sleep problems, separation, sibling rivalry, nurturing creativity, empowerment, indigo children and even setting up a home art studio.

Donna is married, a mother of two, a writer, artist, singer, musician, master storyteller, early childhood specialist and an educational arts program consultant.
